From a series still in progress that maps and documents locations & movements of street vendors in various cultures around the world. Informal economic strategies are a burgeoning outcome of neo-liberal policies that have caused widespread income inequality and semi-privatization of public spaces. Using steel maps, photos, drawings, and video, this body of work will explore individuals' stories and survival tactics in a practice situated between complying with and avoiding local regulation.
